Pancake Party

Making Pancakes

On Monday, we decided to make some pancakes.  We used a crepe maker as our hot plate and a bottle of ready-made pancake mix.  We had to read the instructions and work together.

On Tuesday, we all tole Miss Waho what to write so we could co-create this slide.

Our next step is to be able to write sentences on our own.

Essential Spelling

Ezra's Essential Spelling

One of the activities Ezra does in Literacy is Essential Spelling.  Here he is working hard and staying focused as he learns these words.

Next, we are going to check to see how Ezra is progressing with learning these words.

Fun Phonics

Letter and Sound Matching

We have been learning about letters and the sounds they make.  Ezra has shown that he is really good with this and can sound out a word by getting the beginning, middle and end sound of a word.  We worked on an activity where Ezra matched the letter to the picture by saying the word for the picture and matching it to the correct letter.

Our next step is to work on learning what sounds blends like th, and sh make.

Creating

Ezra Creates

In Literacy, Ezra created a well thought out and planned scene using Cuisenaire rods.  We decided to take a photo because it looked so impressive and it was a shame to have to dismantle it again.  This shows Ezra is very talented at creating.

Our next step is to help Ezra to write about what he has created.

This term we have been looking at our accuracy and amount of time on Steps Web.  This is Ezra's current report on this.

The next step is for Ezra to increase the amount of time he spends on Steps and have a teacher or older student to sit next to him to help him in his learning.
